Q: When will BattleTech: Universe be released?
A: We plan to release builds as we hit milestones in development. If you wondering when the final version will come out, there is no definite release date.
Q: How many people are working on this game?
A: As of right now there are three of us, though we started months ago before 2013.
Q: Can I help with programming, graphics, sound, music etc?
A: Thanks, but we want to do everything by ourselves.
Q: Which platforms are supported?
A: Currently just Windows PC.
Q: Which games inspired you?
A:
- BattleTech the board game.
- Mechwarrior 2, all the series.
- Mechcommander
- BattleTech for Sega/SNES
Q: Which features do you still want to add?
A: Coming Soon…
Q: Is there multiplayer support?
A: Not at this time, possibly in the future.
Q: Will you add mechlab / customization options?
A:
- At this moment no mechlab.
- Customizations may come in the form of variant or re-fit kits.
Q: How do you create this game?
A: We utilize Unity 4.0, basic scripting. All assets are that of the team.
Q: Will the final game still be called “BattleTech Universe”?
A: No. We plan on using BattleTech Universe as the main title, but focus on missions with sub-titles for DLC.
Q: Will it be free?
A: Yes. We are non-profit.
Q: Does Piranha Games know about your project?
A: Yes. They are receptive to indie & mod teams creating original content.
