Market Growing for Savvy Mercenaries in Security Roles

Although the MechWarriors and regiments that give mercenaries their glamor are suffering, everyday soldiers-for-hire are actually being snapped up as soon as they’re available. Despite fears of betrayal, the massive conflicts raging across the Sphere demand fodder, and the mercenary has always existed to fill that role.
One segment of the mercenary market that is showing incredible growth is the security role. Traditionally small-scale, mostly infantry-centric contracts to defend specific persons or buildings from infiltration and sabotage are being signed almost every hour, across the Sphere. Although a small percentage are negotiated through recognized channels on worlds like Noisiel and Arc-Royal, many are signed directly between corporations and local mercenaries.
With tensions high after so many high-profile betrayals and the Bonding Commission's branding of the Word of Blake as an outlawed employer, a number of corporations have refused to hire formed units of mercenaries, instead hiring individual soldiers and using their own officers to control them.
