Liberated Allard-Liao Decries ‘FedSuns Criminals’

A daring rescue by elements of the elite Death Commandos secured the release of captured Duke Kai Allard-Liao, heir to the throne of the St. Ives Commonality, from his captivity on New Syrtis where he was being held as a hostage by the cowardly forces of the Capellan March of the Federated Suns. Upon his return to the Confederation, the Duke offered the following statement:
“The current conflict between the Capellan Confederation and the Federated Suns only underscores the rivalries that the Word of Blake is exploiting for their own gain as they wage war on the entire Inner Sphere. We cannot continue to allow rogue elements [of the Federated Suns] to weaken our defenses during this crisis. I will be speaking with the Chancellor in the near future and urging him to bring this wasteful conflict to a speedy [and victorious!] conclusion.”
As every Capellan knows the Capellan March has been aggressively invading Confederation space ever since launching their surprise and unprovoked attack just after the fall of the Second Star League. Without the benevolent leadership of the First Lord—which position our own Celestial Wisdom was the first to fill—the cronies of the Haseks and the Davions had little to stop them from acting on irrational hatreds and petty injustices they believe they’ve suffered at our hands over the centuries of our peaceful existence.
