The Once and Future King, Devlin Stone?

The mystery of Devlin Stone's identity has enthralled the masses of the Inner Sphere ever since his emergence from a Kittery POW camp in 3072. This man who came from nowhere, with no noble pedigree, no army, no background or personal history, has managed to transform the face of the universe. How could it be possible?

“The history of humanity is replete with heroes who will emerge from hiding when mankind needs them most,” noted Comparative Mythology professor Frederick Rotbart in an exclusive interview with Werner. “One of the most powerful of these archetypes has always been King Arthur, a hero of the Britons who beat back an overwhelming invasion of darkness, established a new reign of justice, with the help of a multinational force of paladins and an enigmatic mentor at his side.”
A review of established details about Devlin Stone bears out striking coincidences with Arthur. And the fated King was due to return from the isle of Avalon. With the certainty that he was given military training at a FedSuns institution, he would likely have attended the NAIS as the most open academy in that realm. Thus, as von Schattenberg points out, Stone came to us from Avalon. Even his assumed name is telling, Rotbart commented; “Arthur is a Celtic hero, and Devlin is a Celtic name. The significance of the Stone is much more obvious.”
Werner expands on these coincidences with the recent allegations that a mysterious “Arthur” was a subject of major concern to both Blakist and Coalition commands during the final campaign on Terra. Who else, von Schattenberg asks, could that refer to except the Once and Future King?
