Не прошло, как говорится и пол года, как чат вернулся. И даже вернулся прям сегодня.

Hello,

This general announcement is to advise you all that, starting this Saturday (17 July 2010), live on-line chats with the BattleTech Line Developer (that would be me), will begin anew on IRC. This chat may be joined either by downloading an IRC client and finding the #BattleChat-Live! channel on evilnet's IRC server (irc.evilnet.net, port 6667), or directly through your web browsers at http://www.slashnet.org/webclient/BattleChat-Live!.

These chats will be held twice a day on Saturday, at 12 PM and 8 PM (both in Eastern [Civilized] Time), and will run for a minimum of one (1) hour. These early chats will be run without moderation or logging, however, and unless specified otherwise, nothing said in such chats will affect BattleTech canon.

Yet to be determined: How frequent these chats will be.
