Blakists See Mixed Success, Failure on Capellan Front

LIao Forces Hold on to Foochow, Gan Singh; Pleione Falls
[30 December 3069; ISAP] Word of Blake forces assaulting into the Capellan Confederation were dealt several setbacks recently, although the Capellans were not successful in holding off all of the encroaching invaders.

On Foochow, the elite aerospace forces of Warrior House Dai Da Chi intercepted the incoming Word forces in space and destroyed them. None of the troop carriers—suspected to be mercenaries, rather than frontline Word of Blake Militia forces—survived to enter the atmosphere, and the surviving aerospace escorts simply entered a swift slingshot orbit and escaped back to the jump point.
On Gan Singh the Word of Blake managed to land, but the recent reinforcement of the CCAF garrison on that world were able to destroy the numerically-inferior invasion forces, although significant damage was done to local infrastructure before the Word units were destroyed.
The Word’s only success was on Pleione, the oft-contested world that was hosting the remnants of Little Richard’s Panzer Brigade. Even the wily strength of Regina “The Gila Queen” Whitman was not enough to resist the Blakist onslaught. Making their stand near the famous “Thunder Rock” the Panzer Brigade fought and died, adding their names to the list of those annihilated by the Word of Blake.
