Raasch Recipe Nets Record Price for Charity

Timbiqui [INN]—Raasch Dark Star League Stout, one of the most popular ales in the history of the Raasch Brewhaus, and a favorite among soldiers and citizen alike on both sides of the Lyran/Free Worlds Border has set a record price for charity fundraising on the world.
In an effort to raise money for relief organizations dealing with the fallout of the Jihad, Teller Raasch, President and CEO of the Brewhaus placed the recipe for company's Star League Stout up for auction. The ale was last brewed in 3058 to mark the rebirth of the League, and stayed in production for one year. The ale proved incredibly popular, not only for the taste, but for the collectible nature als well. When taken off the market, Raasch said it would only resurface when, “the time was right.”
The silent auction, held over the course of a month took bids from throughout the Inner Sphere, but eventually was sold to an unnamed party within the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone for a whopping twenty-five million C-bills (equivalents).
According to a Raasch spokesperson, half of the money will go toward immediate aid relief, while the remainder will be set up in a fund, which will disperse grants on a yearly basis.
“We are living in a time when our very way of life is threatened.” said Jennifer Callenday, Chief Marketing Officer for Raasch. “It is times such as these when every citizen must do what they can to stem the tide of the aggressions placed against us all. We may be only a business, but that does not mean we can't strike back in our own way.”
The recipe was sold on the condition that the ale not be sold under the same name as the original.
